iBuyPower Gamer Paladin 998 - Review, Specs & Price

If you want your desktop, named after the heroic champions systems or strong supporters of a cause, the Gamer paladin from 998 iBuyPower is for you. We found that the system was at least a strong supporter of the game, the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550, Palit Revolution 700 Deluxe GPU (ATI Radeon 4870 X2) and 4GB of OCZ Gold memory DDR-1333.

The Gamer paladin 998 constituents housed in a Cooler Master HAF 932 case, and added iBuyPower red LED lights with the fans and cold cathode red light at the bottom of the case. With the large side panel window fan grill and 230 millimeters, 21.5-inch high off system has clearly devilish appearance. To keep the internal components visible, iBuyPower routed most of the cables behind the motherboard tray. The 230 mm fans on top, front and side panels of the case kept the air moving in and out of the case. Paradoxically, the Gamer paladin 998 was on a quiet, even when the system was under load.

The top of the front doors provides four USB, a port FireWire, port eSATA, and audio inputs. And the inclusion of a BD player and DVD burner, which covers both our media playing and backup needs. iBuyPower received from 932 of the PA-less design tool: optical and hard drives quickly slid into or from the system. Liquid CPU COOLER had short, thick pipe that would be extremely difficult to whim, and we pipe that does not prevent access to internal components. Regarding the design, selection of the OCZ Gold iBuyPower line memory beautifully matches the gold heatsink on the Gigabyte motherboard.

We’d have liked to see iBuyPower overclock this system to really pump the frames per second, but the builder says that it provides services iBuyPower overclocking. However, the paladin Gamer 998 performer in our game tests, including 29fps in Far Cry 2, 20fps in Crysis head and 54.4fps in Company of Heroes. For an extra $ 149, you can buy Gamer 998 paladin your choice of two-tone colors. Adding a little extra Flair will separate computer in height from the package at the next LAN party.
